1. About these terms

These terms apply to the Verovascend app and website, which are provided by Verova Group Ltd ("we" or "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Who can use Verovascend

You must be 18 or over to use Verovascend. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for everything that happens on your account.

3. What Verovascend is

Verovascend provides speaking-confidence training, including lessons, practice, games, vocal training, feedback from Ascend, our AI coach, and The Social Experiment.

Feedback from Ascend is created by artificial intelligence and may sometimes be inaccurate. Verovascend is a skills course. It is not therapy, counselling or medical advice. If you are struggling with your mental health, please speak to your GP or a qualified professional. In the UK, you can call Samaritans free at any time on 116 123.

4. The Social Experiment and your content

When you use The Social Experiment, you must follow our Community Guidelines, which form part of these terms. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.

You are responsible for everything you say and share. You allow us to store, process and play your voice notes and messages to other members as part of the service, and to review them to keep the community safe.

We may remove any content, and suspend or close any account, that breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines, without notice.

5. Subscriptions

Some features need a paid subscription, which you buy through the App Store. Payment is taken from your Apple account when you confirm your purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies.

6. Using the app fairly

Please do not misuse the app. This includes copying it, taking it apart, overloading it, interfering with how it works, or using it for anything unlawful.

7. Our content

The app, the course, Ascend, the Cognitive Pragmatic Training method and all of the content, logos and designs belong to Verova Group Ltd or the people who license them to us. You may use them only for your own personal, non-commercial use of the app.

8. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen in the app. This permanently deletes your account and your data, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

9. Our responsibility to you

We work hard to make Verovascend helpful and reliable, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise any particular result. We are not responsible for anything said or done by other members, or for losses that could not reasonably have been foreseen.

Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

10. Apple

These terms are between you and Verova Group Ltd, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for it. Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app does not meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection claims.

If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make an important change, we will tell you in the app.

12. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You may also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.
